COLUMBIA - A woman was taken to a Columbia hospital after she was thrown from a vehicle on Discovery Parkway off Highway 63 in Columbia. The Missouri Highway Patrol is having a hard time getting details to understand exactly what happened.

At the scene of the accident, the woman was conscious but had injuries on her arms, chest and legs. Patrolmen on the scene said it appears another person was also thrown from a vehicle, but that person and the vehicle involved are no where to be found. Investigators circled the accident zone but could not find any other evidence. Patrolmen think another car picked up the second accident victim.

The woman found on the scene was unable to help with the investigation for now. KOMU 8 will continue to gather details on the incident and post updates on KOMU.com.
