Woman Walking on Mo. Highway Struck and Killed

HILLSBORO, Mo. - An eastern Missouri woman is dead after being struck by a pickup truck while she walked along a highway.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says investigators don't yet know why 35-year-old Jody Underwood of Hillsboro was walking along Highway 67 in Jefferson County about 4:15 a.m. Thursday.
The patrol says the pickup driver came around a curve. Underwood was walking in the same lane. She died at the scene.
The 64-year-old pickup driver notified police. He was not charged.
