Wrongly Convicted Man Reaches Deal
COLUMBIA - A man who spent nearly 16 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit reached a settlement with the county that put him behind bars.
Joshua Kezer was convicted in 1992 for the murder of a 19-year-old nursing student. A judge ruled in 2009 that key evidence was kept from Kezer's defense during the trial.
Kezer filed the lawsuit against Scott County and several former officers. No word yet on the details of that settlement. He now lives in Columbia.
