ST. LOUIS, MO -- Ryan Meyer of Linn, Missouri earned his third American Midwest Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week honor on Monday, it was announced by the conference office. The senior was the top collegiate finisher at the CMU/Gary Stoner Invitational on Saturday, finishing nearly 20 seconds in front of the next-nearest collegian.

Meyer ran the 8K course in Fayette, Mo., in a time of 25:03, helping the Owls to a third-place finish in the six-team field. He placed second overall in the 85-runner field.

He earns his third weekly accolade of 2012 on the heels of his recent recognition as the WWU/Central Dairy Student-Athlete of the Month for September.

The Owls return to action on October 20 as they take part in the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Fall Classic at Forest Park.
