COLUMBIA -- Former Missouri Tiger Christian Cantwell will throw the shot putt in his second straight Olympics on August 3rd. At the Olympics Trials last month, Cantwell finished third.
He says he is one of six throwers with a shot at Olympic gold.
There are 530 americans competing in the Olympics but Cantwell says he won't participate in opening ceremonies or go to other events. He wants gold and all the admiration that comes with it.

COLUMBIA - Missouri won its first Big 12 Wrestling Tournament in program history Saturday.
The Tigers sent eight wrestlers to the finals and had nine wrestlers qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

The 1946 Cotton Bowl pitted two teams with totallyopposite histories: the Texas Longhorns who had never lost abowl game and the Missouri Tigers who had never won one.The result was not the expected rout, but a record-breakingshoot-out which Texas won, 40-27.
The Associated Press today released their 2013 All-SEC football team, and seven different Tigers received mention, including four who landed on the first team.
