Angie Bailey

I'm a Missouri girl. I was born and raised in Northeast Missouri, graduated from Mizzou and moved back to Columbia to work at KOMU in 2005.

I grew up in a very small town as the daughter of a police chief and a school librarian. Sounds pretty fun, huh? It was actually great. I never want to live too far from my parents and I really appreciate growing up in a rural community. I love being a mom, bargain hunting, and the people I work with.

I love being a mom, bargain hunting, and the people I work with. My husband and I have known each other since junior high. We have a son, Quin, and a daughter, Avery, as well as a black lab named Jeb who's been around longer than both kids.

If I'm not at work then I'm probably picking up or delivering my children somewhere. Being a working mom with two little kids doesn't allow for much "me" time... but when it happens I usually spend it rummaging clearance racks, cooking or redecorating a room.

I'm the resident tightwad at KOMU. So I've almost always got a suggestion for saving money or getting a great deal. You may have seen some of my favorite tips in a Stretching Your Dollar report.
