"If you're ever trying to find me in a crowd, just listen for my laugh. I've always been known as a loud laugher (got that from my mama), and I can't say I'm ashamed. What's better than an aching belly from a good laugh? I'm so excited about bringing my upbeat personality to KOMU 8 News Today and hopefully I'll help you get your day started on a positive note.
My constant curiosity drove me into the news biz and keeps me here. I can't ask 'why' enough. I'm passionate about uncovering the truth and determined to give all sides of a story a voice.
I don't have a great story of where I've moved from because I was born right off Broadway at Boone Hospital. Columbia is and forever will be where I call home. I grew up watching KOMU 8 and am humbled to be a part of a news team I've always admired. I hope to give back to this community that has given so much to me over the years.
I'm a Rock Bridge High School alum and a University of Missouri-Columbia graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Meteorology.
When I'm not in the newsroom, I'm indulging in everything music. I love singing, playing the piano and watching reality talent competitions. I also enjoy spending time with my friends, family and husband Travis.
Feel free to shoot me an email and pass along your story ideas. And if you see me out and about, come say hi! I'd love to meet you, hear your story and of course share a laugh."
