First Alert Forecast
Temperatures will return to above average for Sunday afternoon with highs back into the upper 80s under mostly sunny skies with a few passing thunderstorms possible.
Waves of thunderstorms are likely Monday morning through Wednesday morning and rainfall may be heavy at times, leading to areal flash flooding. In addition to possible areal flash flooding, a few storms may be strong to severe with strong wind gusts. Rainfall over this whole period may total 1" to 3".
A building ridge in the jet-stream will continue to help temperatures warm into next week with highs soaring back into the lower/middle 90s Wednesday-Sunday. Heat indices will again reach the 100s as skies gradually become less cloudy and more sunny.
