First Alert Forecast
The rest of Memorial Day weekend will feature high temperatures in the lower 90s (and near records) along with dew points in the lower to middle 70s, meaning humidity will be rather uncomfortable, if not oppressive at times. The heat index, or feel-like temperatures each afternoon will likely be in the middle to upper 90s. The weekend will feel like July and August, not late May.
Sunday will be hot and sunny! Highs are expected to be in the middle 90s breaking the current record of 92° set back in 2012. Once we factor in the humidity it will feel like the upper 90s. Be sure to use sunscreen, stay hydrated and make sure pets are inside/have plenty of shade and water.
Look for abundant sunshine to continue on Monday with dry skies and close to record breaking temperatures. Rain chances will return again by mid-week and temperatures stay in the 80s and 90s for the next week.
