Thunderstorms will continue to develop this afternoon as some breaks in cloud cover allow for a warm-up into the lower to mid 80s. These storms may be strong with isolated damaging wind gust possible between 2pm-6pm. This evening is trending drier, but muggy with temps in the lower 70s.
Tuesday will feature a mix of sun and clouds followed by showers and thunderstorms in the early afternoon and through the evening. Storms may be strong to severe with heavy rain/damaging winds our main threat, in addition to moderately-sized hail and a very isolated tornado threat during the daytime hours. Temperatures try to reach around 90 before storms arrive.
Rain will push out early Wednesday morning with clouds decreasing throughout the day. High temps will reach the lower 90s on Wednesday.
Thursday will be a major wake-up call after the cool start to summer we've had. Under sunny skies, highs will reach the upper 90s and heat indices will jump to between 105-110. Be prepared for this oppressive heat.
Friday through the weekend doesn't look much better. Expect sunny skies and highs in the middle 90s, feeling like 95-105.
