While skies remain cloudy this evening, conditions will stay dry and mild with temps slowly falling into the lower 50s. However, leftover thunderstorms from Oklahoma will track into central Missouri by early Wednesday morning and could be heavy at times.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely Wednesday morning before clearing by late morning. Temps will rise into the lower 60s.
Additional spotty showers are possible throughout the day before more development of thunderstorms are expected by late afternoon. A few of these evening thunderstorms could be strong with heavy rain and small hail possible. These heavy showers and storms are expected to continue off and on into Thursday with areal flooding becoming a possibility.
By Friday, a ridge of high pressure should move over the Midwest allowing for some sunshine to return. Temps will be cooler in the middle 50s before rising back into the 60s for Saturday and Sunday. More rain is expected to return to the forecast by late weekend and early next week.
