Patchy fog will be possible this morning as temperatures hover in the 60s. Temperatures will we warmer, but will still remain below average for the afternoon hours with highs in the lower 80s under mostly cloudy skies. A few isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon, but most of the region will stay dry.
Temperatures will return to above average for Sunday afternoon with highs back into the upper 80s under mostly sunny skies with a few passing thunderstorms possible.
Thunderstorms are likely Sunday night-Monday and rainfall may be heavy at times, leading to areal flash flooding. In addition to possible areal flash flooding, storms may be strong to severe with strong wind gusts. Another round of thunderstorms is likely Tuesday. Rainfall over this whole period may total 1" to 3".
A building ridge in the jet-stream will continue to help temperatures warm into next week with highs soaring back into the lower/middle 90s Wednesday-Sunday. Heat indices will again reach the 100s as skies gradually become less cloudy and more sunny.
