Skies are clear this morning and should lead to abundant sunshine before more fair cumulus clouds build in the skies much like on Sunday. Temps are on pace today to reach the upper 70s and lower 80s with breezy winds from the west at 10-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph.
By early afternoon, a passing cold front will pop a few isolated thundershowers over areas south of I-70. Watch for frequent lightning.
Rain will clear out of southern Missouri early this evening leading to mostly clear and cooler conditions due to a northwest wind. Overnight temps will fall into the middle 50s.
Showers will be possible again Tuesday as early as 11am and throughout the afternoon and evening. This rain will clear out by late Tuesday as high pressure builds back in providing sunshine for Wednesday. Temps on Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the upper 70s.
While Wednesday appears to remain dry, more rain is forecasted for Thursday and into the weekend with temps holding in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
