As a cold front approaches northern Missouri, showers and thunderstorms will begin to form along this converging zone by early to mid-evening. While most of the rain holds off until after 8pm, showers and heavy thunderstorms are expected to impact northern and central Missouri overnight and through Thursday morning. While severe weather is not out of the question, most sotrms will be sub-severe with heavy downpours at times, gusty winds, and lightning.
A passing cold front Thursday will spark a few more storms again in the afternoon over central and southern Missouri, clearing after 7pm. Temps on Thursday will be in the middle 80s and the high humidity is slow to move until the evening.
This weekend a cool, Canadian air mass aided by a developing high pressure system over the upper Midwest will send comfortable and sunny weather our way. Temps from Friday through Monday will be in the lower 80s with morning lows in the lower 60s.
