Clouds will be on the increase today, becoming partly sunny this afternoon. Conditions will still remain very warm and breezy at times with highs in the lower 80s. Winds from the south could gust as high as 30 mph.
While the evening remains dry, thunderstorms are expected to move in after midnight and a few storms may be strong with isolated pockets of small hail and gusty winds. Temps overnight will hold in the middle 60s.
Thundershowers will continue throughout the morning and into the afternoon as a cold front moves through the state. Heaviest thunderstorms will pass through southern Missouri with a chance that these storms could be strong to severe. Temps will cool throughout the day falling into the lower 60s by the afternoon.
Cooler air will move in for Wednesday night and Thursday where temps will fall into the lower 60s. this is several degrees below normal for the time of year.
Into the weekend, a lifting warm front will bring a few isolated showers and storms by Friday afternoon and a few could be strong. Another likely chances for more widespread showers and storms will be possible Saturday and heavy rainfall may be possible in the addition to a few strong storms. Temps this weekend will rise into the 70s.
