First Alert Forecast
Skies will remain sunny today, but temperatures are the coldest of the week with highs in the upper 30s! Less windy today as high pressure quickly builds over Missouri with gusts only reaching 25 mph in the afternoon, settling this evening.
A clear sky will help temps cool rapidly into the upper 20s this evening, but a more mild airmass moves in tonight and holds temps in the middle to upper 20s.
Breezy and much warmer on Wednesday ahead of another system out from the north. Temperatures should reach the lower 50s with winds up to 25 mph, before cooling into the upper 30s and low 40 for Thursday. Another quick moving area of energy in the atmosphere will cloud up the skies on Thursday, maybe even forming some flurries and/or light snow by Thursday evening. Once again, drier than normal air will likely dissipate most precipitation, as has happened over recent weeks.
While temp only rebound into the lower 40s Friday, a big warm-up is expected Saturday with highs approaching the upper 50s. Overall, an above-average temperature pattern and below-average precipitation pattern is expect through at least the middle to end of next week.
