Open skies and a building high pressure system to the west has allowed temperatures to cool into the middle and upper 30s this morning. A light wind from the north may create wind chills in the 30s this morning. By the afternoon, sunny skies will help warm temperatures into the upper 50s.
Evening conditions will by chilly and winds will be calm from the north. A few high clouds may pass by, otherwise mostly clear tonight with temperatures falling into the lower 40s. A few areas may fall into the upper 30s.
A ridge in the jet-stream will begin to expand over the Central Plains and Midwest this weekend. Temperatures will trend warmer, climbing to near 70 on Saturday and into the middle 70s on Sunday. A passing dry cold front on Sunday evening may provide a few isolated showers. Temps will fall into the upper 60s by Monday.
