The oppressive summer heat and humidity will stick in central Missouri through Tuesday evening as temps reach the lower 90s with a heat index between 95-100.
Chances for thunderstorms will increase beginning Tuesday afternoon over northern Missouri. these storms are part of a stalling frontal boundary that will aid probable chances for passing thunderstorms from Tuesday - Friday. Rainfall amounts could total 1.00" to 3.00" north of Columbia and decreased chances south of Columbia with around 0.25" to 1.00" possible.
Additional cloud cover and rain cooled air should allow for cool-down in Missouri starting Wednesday with highs only reach the middle to upper 80s through Sunday.
