The march of a cold front has stalled over central Missouri where thunderstorms have continued to dump nearly 1” to 3” of rainfall over western and northwestern Missouri. Ponding of water on roads and foggy conditions are possible this morning.
Thunderstorms will continue this morning over northern Missouri with more redevelopment of thunderstorms over a muggy airmass in southern Missouri. Under a cloudy sky, temperatures will slowly warm into the lower 80s by the afternoon.
Thunderstorms are expected to move eastward late today and fall apart, leaving only an isolated chance for storms this evening. Most areas will stay dry this evening, mainly cloudy. Temperatures will fall into the upper 60s with patchy fog developing before sunrise on Saturday.
Clouds will stick around for the weekend along with this stalled, stormy pattern. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop again by Saturday afternoon and continue into Sunday morning. Conditions will remain warm and humid into next week with high temperatures into the middle 80s.
