First Alert Forecast
Under clear skies and a very calm wind, expect areas of patchy fog to develope between midnight - 9AM Wednesday.
Wednesday will be a very warm day with record high temps expected throughout much of Missouri. Columbia’s record is 76 (1995) and Jefferson City’s record is 74 (1991). Both records have a high probability to be broken as afternoon temps are expected in the upper 70s.
Big changes are coming as a strong upper-level storm system will move off the West Coast and become accompanied by a strong cold front over the upper Great Plains. This system will bring a return of cloud cover and a slight chance for storms Thursday with much cooler temps in the 40s by Friday.
The weekend up ahead appears to be much cooler than recent days with a chance for rain showers by Sunday and into early next week. Temps will hold in the middle 40s with morning lows in the 20s and 30s.
