First Alert Forecast
***Heavy rainfall is expected this weekend and flash flooding will be possible***
A flash flood watch will be in effect from Friday night through Monday morning.
Winds will turn out form the east this evening with increasing clouds in the advance of another passing storm system. This system will help pull a warm front into northern Missouri. Rain will clear after sunrise on Friday with mostly cloudy skies throughout the day and temps rising into the upper 60s and lower 70s.
However, a passing cold front will merge with a stalled out airmass over the Ozarks Friday night. This will create a favorable environment for widespread heavy showers and a few thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday. Rainfall will be heavy at times and flash flooding will be possible throughout the weekend. Rainfall amounts will range from 2.00" to 5.00" in mid-Missouri - exact location cannot be pinned down at this time. Temps this weekend will range from the 50s Saturday to the 60s Sunday.
Rainfall will exit Monday morning. River and stream levels may be abnormally high with areal flooding lasting through Monday or Tuesday in flood prone areas. Temps will be in the 50s/60s.
