First Alert Forecast
Temperatures will warm to near 60 degrees by sunrise on Monday. A few showers and thunderstorms will push in overnight as well.
Monday will see scattered showers and a few thunderstorms with highs reaching near 70 by the afternoon. Winds will be breezy with gusts around 25 mph. It will then be a warm night with lows only reaching near 60.
Tuesday will be the main rainmaker this week. Moderate to heavy showers (and some rumbles of thunder) are expected on Tuesday with high temps reaching into the middle 60s midday and falling into the 50s throughout the afternoon as a cold front sweeps through. By Tuesday night most of mid-Missouri will have 1-2" of rainfall accumulation (this is needed!).
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with some moisture trying to stick around. Any remaining moisture that tries to falls will be met with much colder temperatures, resulting in a wintry mix. Stay tuned as we see how this system develops and how much moisture wants to hold on.
Thursday looks like the driest day with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the lower 40s.
Friday and Saturday see the return of rain chances.
