First Alert Forecast
Today will be a warm and breezy day across the region with sunny skies and highs reaching the upper 60s and lower 70s. A high temperature of 70° would tie the current record in Columbia which is from 1966. These unseasonably warm temperatures are going to be due to the sunshine and strong winds which will be out of the southwest at 10-20MPH with gusts up to 30 MPH.
A passing cold front will bring a little extra cloud cover, and a wind shift tonight with lows falling into the lower 40s.
Cloud cover is expected to clear by sunrise on Saturday and while it will be cooler temperatures will still be above average for this time of the year with highs in the upper 50s and plenty of sunshine.
Sunshine is expected to continue through Sunday and Monday with highs in low to mid 60s.
