Skies will remain partly to mostly sunny with this afternoon with breezy winds out from the northwest as a dry cold front marches through the Midwest. High temperature will reach the lower 50s. winds will be sustained at 20 mph, gusting up to 40 mph this afternoon.
Another passing cold front tonight may lead to a few late-night flurries as temperatures drop into the middle 20s. Winds will remain very breezy, gusting to near 40 mph overnight. This air mass will begin to calm down Tuesday and leave temps very cool with highs in the upper 30s, warming back into the lower 50s Wednesday.
Another quick passing cold front will sweep the Midwest early Thursday morning, leaving skies mostly cloudy with a very slight chance for flurries. Once again, drier than normal air will likely dissipate any precipitation, as has happened over recent weeks.
While temps will hold in the 30s on Thursday, a big warm-up is expected into the weekend with highs approaching the upper 50s.
