First Alert Forecast
Happy homecoming, Mizzou fans!
Saturday day is expected to be dry with highs in the upper 70s under a mix of sun and clouds. For the homecoming parade (7:30am), temperatures will be in the lower 60s. We will warm up about 10 degrees by kickoff to have temperatures in the lower 70s. By the end of the game we will reach out high temperatures for the day. Cloud cover will start to increase into the evening hours ahead of a cold front. After 7pm we have a slight severe risk for thunderstorms. These are expected in the later evening hours of Saturday into early Sunday morning. The main concern with these is strong winds. Rainfall could total up to 1.5".
After the initial wave of thunderstorms, Sunday morning looks to be primarily rainy. Showers will tapper off into midday as high temperatures are much more seasonal in the mid-60s.
Next week brings not only more seasonal conditions, but cooler temperatures as well. By the middle of the week we will be trending below average with high temperatures only reaching the 50s.
