The out-the-door forecast for this morning features very mild and tranquil weather. Temps out the door will be in the middle to upper 60s.
Lots of open skies today will lead to another sunny afternoon, this time with slightly warmer temperatures. by noon, temps will be as warm as Monday afternoon’s conditions. This afternoon’s high temps are expected in the upper 80s and lower 90s. A heat index this afternoon may be as high as 93 to 95.
While the evening remains mostly clear, a slight mugginess may be felt as temps will only fall into the lower 70s by Wednesday morning.
An approaching weather system to our west shifts winds out from the south Wednesday and a hot, humid afternoon is expected. Skies will begin to become partly to mostly sunny as temps reach the middle 90s. An increase in humidity will lead to a heat index between 100 and 104.
As the weather systems approach, showers and thunderstorms will become possible by late Wednesday night and will continue through Thursday morning. Another chance for storms will be possible in the afternoon. A passing cold front will keep temps in the middle 80s on Thursday.
Into the weekend, a strong ridge of high pressure will build and strengthen to our north. This is often associated with a cooler, below normal temperature pattern. Skies will be sunny and dry from Friday with Tuesday with temps in the lower 80s and morning temps in the lower to middle 60s.
