COLUMBIA - Tiger Radio Network's Todd Donoho tells many tales about the history of MU and KU.
"In the 116 times that Missouri has played Kansas only three times have they both been ranked at the same time," Donoho explained. "Usually one team is good, one team is bad, both teams are bad, both teams are mediocre. Only three times out of a 116 years including this year have both teams been ranked at the same time. So the rivalry is really more between the fans than it is the players and the teams. That being said, I think the teams and the players do delight, in ruining the other team's season. In a sense, that's what it's been more about; not winning championships, but ruining the other team's season. I think they look at us as a bunch of hicks and we look at them as a bunch of snobs. That's only my guess."
