Loganberry Inn Buttermilk Waffles with Mixed Berry Sauce

4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
5 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
2 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
5 large eggs
4 3/4 cups buttermilk
9 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
whipped cream

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Wisk eggs in a large bowl until blended, then whisk in buttermilk and melted butter. Whisk dry ingredients into liquid mixture just until smooth. Brush a preheated waffle iron lightly with Pam and spoon batter in iron, spreading quickly. Cook waffles according to manufacturer’s instructions, transferring as cooked to rack of a preheated 250°F oven to keep warm. Serve with whipped cream and Mixed Berry Sauce. Makes 12 waffles.

Mixed Berry Sauce
Thaw bag of frozen mixed berries.  Mix with 1 ½ cups maple syrup and heat in 2 minutes bursts in microwave oven until warm.
