Peaches and Berries Crisp

Ingredients:

6 medium peaches, peeled and sliced

1 cup berries (blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc.)

1/2 of a box of yellow cake mix (any kind)

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg or cinnamon

6 tablespoons butter, melted

Vanilla ice cream (from Walk-About Acres at the Farmers' Market)

 

Directions:

1.       Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2.       Cut up peaches and place peaches and berries in a 2 quart baking dish.

3.       In a medium bowl combine the yellow cake mix, the rolled oats and the nutmeg or cinnamon.

4.       In a small bowl melt the butter in the microwave. Pour the melted butter over the topping mixture.  Mix butter in until the topping is in large crumbs.  Crumble topping over the fruit.

5.       Bake crisp about 35-45 minutes or until topping is a golden-brown color.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
