2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons flour
1/2 cup water
2 cups shredded cabbage
1/2 a thinly sliced red apple
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
Dash of salt and pepper to season after cooking. Cook onion in oil on HIGH in microwave, less than 1 minutes. Blend in flour until smooth. Add water; stir together, then add cabbage, apples, vinegar and caraway seed. Cover and cook on HIGH until cabbage is tender, 2-3 minutes. Stir in salt and pepper if desired. Makes 2 servings.
Double recipe if needed. Cook about 1 minute longer.
NOTE: This is adapted from a recipe that was to be cooked 1 hour in the oven or on top of the range.
