All you need: 1 apple, washed and cored 1 tsp Hy-Vee butter, softened 1 tbsp packed Hy-Vee brown sugar 1 pinch Hy-Vee ground cinnamon 1 tbsp uncooked Hy-Vee quick cooking oats 2 tsp Hy-Vee chopped walnuts 1 tbsp fat-free caramel sauce, optional
All you do:
1. Place apple in a small microwave-safe bowl.
2. In a separate small bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, oats and walnuts. Spoon this mixture down the center of the apple.
3. Microwave on HIGH for 4 minutes or until tender.
4. Let sit a couple minutes before eating. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
