Authorities in Howard County are still looking for a man who escaped from a Fayette jail Monday around 1 a.m.
The convict, 31-year old Curtis Jones, is a white male with a shaved head.
Curtis Jones was imprisoned for multiple counts of theft.
Jones was last spotted in Fayette riding a red bicycle and wearing orange jumpsuit pants, a red shirt and red flip flops.
Police spent all day Monday searching for him. The Howard County Sheriff reports that they have not yet found Jones. They do however consider him dangerous, but do not have record of him being armed.
This is the second time Jones has escaped from prison. He also broke out of jail after a short confinement in the early 1990s. Authorities said he had an long history of run-ins with police.
Howard County Police encourage anyone with information on Jones to call the sheriff's office at (573) 874-7404.
