Columbia Police and Columbia Fire responded to a call at Stephens Lake Thursday at shortly after 5:00 p.m.

Witnesses said Healea appeared to be in distress, when he went under water and failed to come back up. Others said many people were swimming in a prohibited area of the lake in about fifteen feet of water.

Columbia Fire Department found Healea's body in the lake, 30 feet from the shore.
