Penny approached a Teller at the Bank of America located at 1729 West Broadway and presented a note demanding money.  The Teller gave Penny cash, and he fled the area on a bicycle.

Officers from the Columbia Police Department's Patrol Division and the Street Crimes Unit responded to the area and located the suspect in the 900 block of West Ash. After a short foot pursuit the suspect was taken into custody and identified by bank employees as the suspect.
