Facing a game without J.T. Tiller, the Tigers pull together.
The Missouri Men's Basketball team will host the Broncs of Texas Pan American Sunday afternoon at Mizzou Arena.
Unfortunately, the Tigers will be shorthanded, without Senior Guard and captain J.T. Tiller. Tiller suffered a bruised bone in his left foot in the Tigers season opening win Tuesday night over Tennessee-Martin. Without Tiller, a leadership role falls upon others on the team.
"Certainly not happy that he got hurt, but at the same time kinda relieved that, you know, they have an opportunity to you know cast it up, hopefully rest it, mend it up and heal it, and get ready to play," said Mike Anderson, Missouri Basketball coach.
The remainder of the team recognizes the loss, and they are preparing themselves accordingly.
"He's one of the keys, he's the one, like me, he's the key to the team. So with him out of the picture, everybody's gotta step up. Me, Marcus, Laurence, and the rest of the guys," said Zaire Taylor, Missouri Senior Guard.
