JEFFERSON CITY - State Treasurer Sarah Steelman doesn't plan to run against Gov. Blunt in 2008, according to the Rolla Daily News, in a story published Tuesday. Steelman and Blunt are both Republicans. Until now, Steelman refused to rule out a race for governor. Steelman's campaign committee lists only that she is running for a statewide office. Blunt also remains uncommitted about 2008. He told The Associated Press last week he has not decided whether to run for re-election.
