It happened June 28, 2007, a few miles north of Wellsville. All three people on the plane were killed.

The pilot took off from Spirit of St. Louis airport en-route to Minnesota.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) issued a peliminary accident report shortly after the crash. The NTSB said a probable cause should be available in about a month. The spokesman says the NTSB's workload right now is very busy.

Riding Without a Helmet
Even though Missouri lawmakers passed a bill allowing motorcycle riders to take their helmets off - that bill has not become law yet.

Governor Nixon has until July 14 to sign it, or veto it. Even if he signs it, it won't go into effect until August 28.

His spokesman says he is not tipping his hand either way.

The highway patrol reports many motorcycle riders are already taking their helmets off thinking the law has passed, that is not the case.

Howard County Pipeline Explosion
The spokesman for Panhandle Eastern says the cause of the explosion is still unknown, he says the investigation continues.

The pipeline has been replaced, but repair work is not quite done because--all the rain. No one was hurt.

On a clear Wednesday evening the flames from the explosion could be seen as far away as Columbia, 20 miles to the southeast.
