FULTON - Police arrested two people for manufacturing methamphetamine after stopping them for a traffic violation early Thursday morning.

Around 12:49 a.m. at 500 South Business 54, the Fulton Police Department pulled over 44-year-old driver Amy E. Kliethermes, of Holts Summit, for committing a traffic violation. 29-year-old Richard F. Wright of Holts Summit was riding in the vehicle as a passenger.

After searching the vehicle, officers uncovered a number of items suggesting the two were operating a mobile methamphetamine lab.

Both Kliethermes and Wright are now being held in the Callaway County Jail on charges of Manufacturing and Production of a Controlled Substance. A cash-only bond has been set for $100,000 each.
