Pontiac Game Changing Performance Nomination
Missouri and Illinois played an exhilarating first game of the season, combining for nearly 100 points while leaving fans of both schools on their seats for the entire game. The Tiger’s 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by sophomore Jeremy Maclin, midway through the second quarter not only fueled a streak of 21 consecutive points but also lead your # 6 Missouri Tigers to a 52-42 victory over #20 Illinois and earned them a Pontiac Game Changing Performance nomination.
Now it is up to Mizzou fans to determine if the Tigers will earn a Pontiac Game Changing Performance for week one of the 2008 NCAA Football Season . MU fans can click on the pontiac website in the box in the upper left, where they can view video clips of the four finalists and vote for the Tigers!
Voting begins on Sunday morning and ends at 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday. ESPN will announce this week’s Pontiac Game Changing Performance winner on Thursday night, during the Pontiac G6 Halftime Report.
AT&T All America Player of the Week
Four nominees for the AT&T All-America Player of the Week award have been announced after the first week of college football action, and now it’s up to fans to determine the winner. Jeremy Maclin was chosen by ESPN as one of this week's top canidates. To vote for Maclin fans are to text the word VOTE to 51234 on a wireless phone.
Fans have until 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday to submit their votes. The winner will be announced during Thursday’s ESPN College Football Primetime Presented by Applebee’s.
