The Audrain County Clerk and Grass Roots Organizing wants to educate residents and first time voters about what to expect when voting.

The County Clerk held a voter education meeting in Mexico Thursday night.

Mock ballots were passed out and issues were discussed.

The clerk also went over the proper forms of ID needed to vote.

Grass Roots Organizing said it's important to get people informed about the issues before stepping into the polls.

"It's really important that if people can get the education they'll do the whole ballot and they'll really be fully participating in their democracy," Director of Grass Roots Organizing Robin Acree said.
