Missouri Holds off Old Dominion for 66-61 Win.

JT Tiller returned to the starting lineup after missing two games with a bruised foot.

A cold start for both teams.  It took two minutes before MU's Keith Ramsey opened the scoring on a jump-hook.

The game hit its first TV timeout at the 13:59 mark tied up at 4.

Tigers and Monarchs continued to battle back and forth in the first half.  A Laurence Bowers dunk put Mizzou up 8-7.

Mizzou continued to press Old Dominion and the Monarchs kept turning the ball over.  Tigers opened up a 17-9 lead on a Marcus Denmon 3.  It was a part of a 9-0 MU run.

Kim English hit a jumper for the Tigers to give them a 20-11 lead with 4:20 to go in the first half, but quickly made his 2nd foul and took the bench.

On the 15th ODU turnover, Mizzou's Michael Dixon hit a 3-point jumper and MU took a 25-13 lead.  Dixon hit another 3 to put the Tigers in from 30-15.

Missouri with a 32-18 lead at halftime.  Dixon, Bowers, and Ramsey led the Tigers with 6 points each.

In the 2nd half, Zaire Taylor scored the Tigers first four points.  However, ODU's Marsharee Neely with a hot start to the second half.  He hit a 3 at the 16:53 mark to cut it to 36-26.  Neely has 18 points.

Tigers JT Tiller with a great rebound and bucket to put Missouri in front 40-29 with 15:34 to go in the game.

Old Dominion went on a run midway through the 2nd half.  An 8-0 run cuts the MU lead to 47-40 with 9:06 to go.

Missouri hasn't shot the ball well and ODU inched closer by making free throws.  They cut the MU lead to 49-45 with 6:09 left to go in the game.  An 11-2 run for ODU. 

Tigers cranked up the defense and went on a run of their own to go up 52-45 at the 3:49 mark.

Mizzou closed it out by making free throws down the stretch and held on for the 66-61 win.

JT Tiller led the Tigers with 12 points in his return to the lineup.

In the other semifinal tonight, Richmond beat Mississippi St. 63-62 to advance to the Championship game.  Missouri will play Richmond at 7pm on Saturday for the South Padre Invitational Championship.
