According to the Osage Beach Fire Protection District, the accident happened around 1:00 pm. Firefighters found the two vehicles on the light pole with wires down. Officials said it was fortunate that the wires did not shock the people in the cars and were turned off within 20 minutes.

Three unidentified people were taken to Lake Regional Hospital with unknown injuries. One of those people was extricated from the vehicle.

It took Ameren UE about an hour to secure the damaged power lines.
