COLUMBIA - With Missouri a target state for the presidential campaigns, both Republican and Democratic candidates have mid-Missouri pit stops.
Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin, the current governor of Alaska, are expected to fly into Kansas City Sunday. They will be in Lee's Summit for a rally at John Knox Village Monday.
Doors open for the event at 8:30 a.m., with the pre-program beginning around 10:30 a.m. The even is open to the public, and tickets are required.
Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden will campaign in Missouri Tuesday. His stop includes a visit to Columbia where he will speak at a town hall event in the ARC at 9:30 a.m. The event is open to the public but requires tickets.
