According to a release from the department, the SWAT team was dispatched to the 9600 Block of Ross Lane at around 7:08 p.m. on Friday evening after a 40-year-old man told family members that he intended to commit suicide.

The man did not commit suicide, and was taken into protective custody without incident. He was later transported to University Hospital for an evaluation.
