The Task Force will be departing Boone County Fire District Headquarters at approximately 8:00 p.m.

Missouri Task Force 1, a division of the Boone County Fire Protection District, is one of 28 FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Task Forces. The task force received mobilization orders this evening and will be responding as a Type III task force. This deployment will include 34 personnel and about 30,000 pounds of equipment with an emphasis on rapid deployment and water rescue capabilities.

This tropical storm, which is predicted to reach hurricane status overnight, is being forecast to make landfall somewhere in the region of Brownsville, Texas at midnight Wednesday.
