ST. LOUIS (AP) - Flu cases in the St. Louis area are already showing up -- a month earlier than last year. St. Louis health officials this week have confirmed influenza cases involving two residents in their 30s. A 12-year-old boy and a 40-year-old man in St. Charles also have the influenza virus. So do two residents of St. Louis city. A spokesman for the St. Louis County Health Department says there is a plentiful supply of vaccine this year, but he says it's too soon to know how effective the vaccine will be against the different strains of influenza.
