Christopher E. Gienger was behind the wheel when his car swerved into the wrong lane, hitting an oncoming car head-on.

The driver of the other vehicle, Jacqueline Waller of Auxvasse, was admitted to the hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.

Benjamin Waller was also in the car, and sustained minor injuries. He was treated and released.

A 2-year-old passenger was unhurt in the accident. Both of the Wallers were wearing their seatbelts.

Gienger has been arrested on charges of causing an injury accident under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, and several traffic charges.
