COLUMBIA - Motorists are urged to avoid the intersection of Providence and Stadium, where the traffic lights have gone out.
KOMU 8 News confirmed that the lights stopped working after recieving phone calls just before 11 a.m. Tuesday. Joint Communications reports that MoDOT is aware of the problem and has a crew on the way.
Callers report that the intersection is heavily congested, and that law enforcement officials are on-scene.
The following roads are currently closed due to flooding:
Creasy Springs Near the Bear Creek Trail
Strawn Rd South of I70 Dr Southwest
Highway 40 at Midway
Blackfoot at Columbia/Boone County line
Minor Hill Rd at the Low Water Crossing
Jemmerson Creek Rd @ Low Water Crossing
13000 Block of Crump Ln S
Wilcox Rd East of Route E
Hatton Chapel Rd @ Rt E
