HOLTS SUMMIT - 40 Days for Life is a nationwide campaign to try and end abortion.

40 Days for Life is a nationwide campaign where groups are gathering in 212 cities around the world to hold peaceful vigils in the hope of ending abortion.  mid- Missouri's branch of this campaign held a rally to mark the halfway point.

The group has been gathering outside the Planned Parenthood Center on Providence Road in Columbia everyday since September 23rd.  They sit and pray from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  and try to spread there message to those who come.  Their mission is to save babies.

"Three babies that we know of already have been saved", says Campaign Director, Kathy Frock, "And what we are finding out is 15 to 20 women show up every week for their abortions and the numbers are going down."

We were unable to reach Planned Parenthood for an on-camera interview, but Public Affairs Manager, Michelle Trupiano did give us this quote over the phone: "Planned Parenthood continues to provide services to women and men regardless of the protesters outside the clinics."
