IBERIA (AP) - The parents of a central Missouri woman accused of murdering her infant son are now jailed on child endangerment charges. The charges against Walter Lee White and Charleana White stem from a separate incident that occurred weeks before their grandson died after being set on fire in his crib. The couple's daughter Christina White is charged with first-degree murder, arson and three counts of child endangerment. Police say she set her 7-month-old son's blanket on fire, left the room and didn't return until he stopped crying. Walter and Charleana White were arrested after Iberia police reported finding the baby and a 4-year-old sibling at their home June 23. Police said both children were dirty, and there was no running water or air conditioning in the home that smelled of rotting garbage.
