As Arnel Monroe, 41, was traveling westbound, Sean W. Lord, 20, was traveling eastbound on Smiley Lane approaching Derby Ridge Road. Monroe was traveling straight on Smiley Lane and Lord was intending to make a left turn onto Derby Ridge Road from Smiley Lane. Then, the vehicles collided head-on at the intersection. 

Monroe suffered an injury to his upper right thigh. Lord suffered an injury to his knee and neck. Both drivers were transported to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.
