JEFFERSON CITY - Governor Blunt will give his State of the State address Wednesday evening.
Healthcare and education are the main concerns of those KOMU spoke with.
"We need to concentrate more on the needs of the poor people in this state," said Boone County resident Rick Goodman. "Education needs to be changed from being so test-based, to giving teachers more free reign in how they conduct their classrooms. And more money for education also."
"There is no reason on earth why any child in this country should go without healthcare," said Columbia resident Stuart Dummit. "Builiding buildings isn't going to do it. Paying teachers a worthwhile salary, that would do something."
"The fact that he just completely cut Medicaid is kinda surprising and very shocking," said University of Missouri senior Zach Rubin. "More grants, I just feel college should be made more accessible to Missourians."
