"Before the smoking ban, we were generating about to be able to give away about $30,000  a year. So we're expecting between ten to 25 percent less," said Flohra.

The ban isn't only affecting the fundraising. Smokers were left out in the cold.

"I think smokers have rights too, you know, if they had the exhaust fans, they could have half smoking, half not smoking," said bingo player Lynn Brodie.

Smokers say they might start going out of town to play.

"It wouldn't stop me from coming to bingo actually, but we can always go somewhere else besides Columbia to play bingo," Brodie said.

But for now, both smokers and non-smokers share a smoke-free bingo hall.  The Cosmopolitan Club holds bingo every Wednesday and Saturday night.
