COLUMBIA - Truckers seem to get a bad rap on the news and severe weather cut-ins anger some viewers.

This week, KOMU aired a story about a government report on unhealthy truck drivers on the road.

Becki thought our story gave truckers a bad rap. Her question is this: How many people driving around in four-wheelers have the same medical problems truck drivers have? I know, they're not hauling 90,000 lbs. But, if you make a regulation it must be for everyone...I think truck drivers get a bad wrap, there needs to be more stories about the good things they do. Like bringing you food, clothing, and fuel. They keep our country running, it's time to do a 'feel good' story about the American truck driver!!

And Darren Hatfield isn't feeling good about KOMU severe weather break-ins. He wrote, Once again, KOMU has interrupted a show at the highlight of it!! "Nashville Star" was on Monday, and just as the judges are taking the stage, KOMU breaks in with a weather alert!!! Do you all watch NBC programs at all?! Here's a suggestion, report the weather during a commercial!! Or better still, report it during a boring part of the show! What is wrong with you people?!

Raine Willer is upset with viewers like Darren....she wrote..."Are the viewers for real? I for the life of me can't understand these "viewers" who keep complaining about the reporting of severe weather that has killed several fellow Missourians this year alone. Living in Moberly, a town that was struck by a tornado several years ago and knowing people that were killed in the tornado that hit Renick MO, I appreciate the warnings. The citizens of Renick didn't have a siren at the time and it is a rural area. This is the only warning many people in rural Missouri have. I am sorry these self-centered city slickers had one evening of their life interrupted that might have saved the life of someone else. "

Whether you live in the country or the city, we'd love to hear from you.
