FULTON - Two alumni and two current students from Westminster College left Fulton today for a nationwide road trip.
The four are leaving the college campus for the first time to go on an 18 day tour across the United States. This project has been in the making since February.
They will be making 18 stops, and at each one the four members of the road crew will go to an event, like a baseball game. At the event they will spend time with Westminster alumni and prospective and current students. After that, they will spend the night at an alumni's house.
"We will literally be living and breathing Westminister College," stated Gina Campagma, Road Crew Head member. "We will be living the mission, living the logo 24/7 and that's not something that normally happens."
"The purpose of this trip is to promote the school and to strengthen ties with alumni," said Jason Warncke, Alumni Road Crew member. "You would just be amazed at how many people love Westminster from years back, and alumni, to recent, and that's what's going to be so interesting to me, hearing everyone's stories."
"We are in the top fifty colleges in Forbes, and Cosmo Girl rated us top in the top 100 colleges for women, so we have got a lot of awards that no one knows about," commented Sarah Leininger, Student Road Crew member.
The van will be stopping in St. Louis tonight and then continuing on to Illinois.
